Most of my artwork starts out using just ink pen. Sometimes I will sketch out the composition first in pencil, but I have been trying to focus on pushing my comfort level at times by using a fountain pen only. One way to do this is to do urban or plein air sketching. There are many amazing urban sketch artists out there. One of my favorites is James Richards.
